Broken Arrow

Wanda Sue Jones (also known as Aunt Tudy) passed away at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa surrounded by family on Thursday the 25th of February 2021.

Wanda was born on May 4, 1932 in Oklahoma City to Carl Spencer Jones and Inez Irene Bradfield. She was raised in Fairfax Oklahoma, attended school, and graduated from Fairfax High School as Valedictorian in May of 1950.

Upon graduation, Wanda worked as a legal secretary in Fairfax and Pawhuska until 1974, when she moved to Tulsa. She continued working in the legal field until 1996 when she retired. Retiring gave Wanda the opportunity to do what she loved the most, spending time with her numerous nieces and nephews, her beloved cat Biddy, and her biggest love, her books. She also gave to numerous charities ranging from feeding the poor, to those that help animals in need.

Wanda is survived by her niece Cathy Williams and her husband Zack; great niece Carrie Williams, her husband Travis Harper, and daughter Eva Lynn Harper; nephews Jim R. Ruff, Mike Feemster, Mark Feemster, Kenneth Feemster and great nephews Adam Williams, JD Ruff, Hank Ruff, and Joseph Ruff.

Among her many accomplishments, she was also a published author of short-story mysteries. When she was younger, Wanda traveled extensively across the Southwest from Las Vegas to Mexico and never took a trip that she did not return without souvenirs for her nieces and nephews. She was always quick to help anyone in need with little regards of the financial position she was in. Wanda also had a tremendous sense of humor and a wide knowledge of information varying from entertainment to family history.

Preceeded in death by her parents, her brother Bill Feemster, brother Charles Jones, sister Lou-Ann Garrison, one nephew Kirk Feemster, and beloved cousin Mary Lou Pierce of Fairfax.
