Venus Yandell, longtime resident of Fairfax, passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at the Fairfax Hospital. She was 87.
Venus was born March 24, 1923 in Stigler, Oklahoma, the daughter of Rudy Fuller and Mary Alcy McGheeFuller. She was married to Wallace Yandell on January 8, 1949 in Fairfax. She was a member of the Fairfax Full Gospel Church. Her enjoyments included quilting, sewing, flowers, gardening, scrapbooking, cooking and in earlier years fishing.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Davis and husband, W.K. of Fairfax one sister, Betty Minney one brother, Jasmul Fuller three grandchildren, Mike Davis, Terri Koch and husband, Ty, and Paul Price grandchildren and great grandchildren, Chad Koch, Cassi Smith, Haylee, Heather, Paige and Rilee Brown, Chance Davis, Shelby and Tanner Botts, Landon, Matthew and Nicholas Koch, Kelbi and Briley Smith, and Cailea Rice
soninlaw, Dale Price brothersinlaw, Eugene and Everett Yandell sisterinlaw, Lucille Smith numerous other nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents her husband, Wallace in 2008 her daughter Irene Price infant daughter, Glenis Ann granddaughter Gina Renee Brown two brothers, Rudolph and Rudy Junior Fuller.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 12, 2010 at the Fairfax Full Gospel Assembly Church with Rev. Lewis Bernard presiding. Interment will be in the Fairfax Cemetery under the direction of the HunsakerWooten Funeral Home of Fairfax.
Casket bearers will be Mike Davis, Paul Price, Ty Koch, Mark Smith, Chad Koch, Chance Davis and Keith Yandell.
