Tommy Roberts

Tommy Ray Roberts, age 78, resident of Ralston, Oklahoma entered Heaven on December 1, 2024, with his family present. Tommy was the seventh child of Charles Coleman Roberts and Reva Lee (Ollar) Roberts, he had eleven siblings. He was born on July 7, 1946, in Burbank, Okla. where he grew up and graduated from Burbank High School in 1964.

After proudly serving his country for four years in the U.S. Air Force as an Air Traffic Controller. He continued his career as an Air Traffic Controller until he retired. He also worked as an overhead crane operator, operating one of the largest cranes in the world. 

From an early age, he was an avid outdoorsman, fishing and hunting were among his favorite hobbies, and he enjoyed the time spent outdoors with friends and family during these outings. Of course, he regaled everyone with his escapades which were often humorous and exciting. While living and working in the Houston area Tommy accompanied others as a fishing guide, assisting in making the most of their time, experience, and catch. 

Tommy leaves behind his wife Nora; his daughter Rebecca Holland of Plano, Texas; step daughters Debi and Noranny; two sisters Janice McInturf of Ralston and Mary Medlin and husband Rick of Cushing; three brothers Johnny Roberts and wife Rosy of Fort Worth, Ken Roberts of Burbank and Lindy Roberts of Pawhuska; several grandchildren and bonus grandchildren; plus multiple nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Reva Roberts; his son Erin Roberts; four sisters Clara Roberts, Carolyn Culp, Charlene Kuykendall and Judy Browning; two brothers Charles Roberts and Donald Roberts. 

The family will have a Graveside service at Burbank Cemetery where he will be buried alongside his parents.

The family would like to thank the staff at Fairfax Memorial Hospital and Lumois Hospice for the excellent care given to Tommy in the past few months.

Tommy will be remembered for his wit, charm, and love of others, his favorite saying was all he needed was time and love. His time ran out, but he still has lots of love.
