Teresa Hopper

August 27, 1961 — April 26, 2021

Ralston

Teresa D. Hopper was a wonderful woman that was loved, will be missed, and will always be cherished. She left her home in Ralston, Oklahoma on Monday morning, April 26, 2021 to join her family in heaven at the young age of 59.

Teresa’s story starts on Sunday, August 27, 1961, born the oldest child to Bobby “Fodge” Gene Hopper and Norma Lee (Grimm) Hopper in Fairfax, Oklahoma. When Teresa was little, Fodge and Norma made their home in Ralston, where she would spend her childhood. She made many lifelong friends and was very proud to be a Ralston Tiger graduating with the Class of 1979.

Following high school, she attended NOC, Tonkawa where she studied basic college courses earning her associate degree in 1981. In 1983, she completed her LPN degree at Pioneer Vo-Tech in Ponca City. She gained working experience at St. Mary’s while getting her feet wet in the field of nursing. Teresa moved forward with more training and schooling deciding to attend St. Mary’s of the Plains College in Dodge City, Kansas earning an Associate Degree in Nursing and in 1989 she obtained her Registered Nurse License there. She worked in the Ponca City hospital on the labor and delivery floor for 22 years. In February 2009, she joined the staff at Fairfax Manor Nursing Home. Her duties included CNA instructor, Wound & Infection Control Nurse, PM Charge Nurse, and eventually becoming the (DON) direct of nursing, supervising the care of all the patients. Teresa worked many years in the field of nursing and touched many lives.

If there was anywhere Teresa most wanted to be, it was with her family in Ralston enjoying their time together over any type of board or card game, watching TV, or fishing down at the river together. She also liked reading a good romance novel, doing craft projects, and working crossword puzzles. She had a quick sense of wit and often could be found at the casino in her spare time. Her ‘forever friend’ since first grade, Donna Renfro and many others knew Teresa as 'Aunt Tee Tee.' She cherished every moment of everyday life and special occasions spent with them and was by far the best 'Aunt Tee Tee' around!

Loved ones that Teresa joined in heaven are her parents, father Bob “Fodge” Hopper (June 2010), mother Norma Hopper (Oct. 2015), brother Travis Hopper (Jan. 1994), and numerous uncles and aunts. She is survived by uncles Ron Hopper, Roy (Carol) Grimm, all of Ralston, aunt Donnis Morris of Wichita, and numerous cousins.

Viewing will be Wednesday, April 28, afternoon hours to be announced at the Hunsaker Wooten Chapel in Fairfax. Funeral Service will be 10 am, Thursday, April 29, 2021 also in the Chapel with Russ Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, south of Ralston where she will be laid to rest beside her family.

Pallbearers are Justin Grimm, Mike Bartlett, Patrick Bartlett, Brad Grimm, Branden Whannel, and Rick McGee. Honorary pallbearers are Bo Renfro, Tim Dilbeck, Floyd Kelley, Bruce Myers, John Jewell, and Deton McDaniel.
