Stephen Daniels

Stephen C. Daniels, former resident of Fairfax, passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at the St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. He was 78 years of age.

Stephen was born May 5, 1932 in Tulsa, the son of Clarence Daniels and Mabel Bennett Daniels. He attended the Fairfax Public Schools. He was married to Wanda May Chapman and to this marriage was born one daughter, Stephanie Faye. He married Mary Lou McGill on May 1, 1987 in Tulsa. Stephen was employed for several years as a private pilot in the oil industry. His enjoyments were flying, sailing and golfing. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Holy Family Catholic Church of Tulsa.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou, of the home one daughter, Stephanie Faye Daniels Tignor of Fairfax three stepchildren, Danny Klein, Carrie Sue Barron and Gary Klein 2 grandchildren, Stephen Clarence Tignor and James Daniel Tignor 2 stepgrandchildren, Emil Barron and Mary Amber Brown 6 great grandchildren, Halie Blair Tignor, Tamzen Tignor, Tylie May Tignor, J.D. Tignor, Madison Tamzen Tignor and Stephen Clayton Tignor 4 step great grandchildren, Jordan Hudson, Adelia Klein, Danielle Klein and Felicity Hudson 2 nieces, Shanda Faye Hocutt and Shawna Hope Murphy 2 nephews, Daniel Roy Grimm and Billy D. Cannon one great uncle, Thomas Cline and numerous other extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Faysemma Daniels Cannon.

A rosary service will be held at 8:15 p.m. Friday, March 25, 2011 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fairfax. A funeral service will held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 26, 2011 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Bruce Brosnahan presiding. Burial will be in the Grayhorse Cemetery near Fairfax. Arrangements are under the direction of the HunsakerWooten Funeral Home of Fairfax.

Casket bearers will be Stephen Tignor, Daniel Tignor, Danny Klein, Billy Cannon, Don Thompson and Bob Gray.
