Starr Cannon

Starr Cannon, 62, of the Big Bend Community, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Hillcrest Medical Center, Tulsa, surrounded by family.

He was born on February 1, 1952 at the Pawnee Indian Hospital to Bud and Lois Wardlow Cannon.

He graduated from Fairfax High School in 1969. He served in the Oklahoma National Guard 45th Infantry Division from 1969 to 1973. Starr enjoyed hunting and fishing and recently resided in Eckert, Colorado with his companion, Cherry Nyland. He was preceded in death by his parents and companion, Cherry.

Starr is survived by his brothers, Donny Cannon of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Russell Cannon of Grayhorse, sister, Donnis Cannon of the Big Bend Community and several nephews and nieces.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 2:00 pm at the HunsakerWooten Funeral Home. Services under direction of HunsakerWooten Funeral Home. Interment will be at the Cannon Family Cemetery in the Big Bend at a later date.
