Sharon Godfrey

Sharon Godfrey, longtime resident of Burbank, passed away January 6, 2016 at the Fairfax Hospital at the age of 67.

Sharon was born March 10, 1948 in Franklin, Indiana the daughter of Harold Snyder and Waletta Thurston Snyder. Her schooling was in the Indiana Schools.

She came to Osage county as a young lady and she meet and married Billy Godfrey in June of 1978 and they made Osage county their home and he preceded her in death on August 11, 1995. She later meet Bob Cordwell and they made their home in Webb City in 1998 and they moved to Burbank several years later. She enjoyed keeping her home clean, Shopping and spending time with family.

She is survived by her husband: Bob Cordwell of the home; four children, Michael Godfrey and wife Ginny of Shidler, Bill Gibson Jr. of Shawnee, OK Crissy Godfrey Sanders and husband Joe of Burbank, OK and Donna Smith and husband Gary of Venus, TX. 1 sister: Alice Coswell of Conroe, TX and 11 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Billy Godfrey, 1 grandson; Johnnie Metcalf and 3 brothers.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 14, 2016 at the Burbank City Cemetery with Pastor Dennis Wildman pastor of Burbank first Baptist church officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hunsaker-Wooten Funeral Home of Fairfax.

Honorary Casket bearers are Jerrod Miller, Josh Vogele, Josh Floyd, Matthew Ehrlich, Gary Canaday and Neil Conrad.
