Norma Lee (Grimm) Hopper, lifelong resident of the Ralston community, passed Sunday, October 25, 2015 at the Fairfax Memorial Hospital. She was 80 years of age.
Norma was born August 25, 1935 in the Ralston Big Bend community, the daughter of Harold Grimm and Thelma (Hutchison) Grimm. She was a 1953 graduate of Ralston High School and a 1956 graduate of the nursing program at St. Joseph's Hospital in Ponca City.
She was married to Bobby "Fodge" Hopper on January 26, 1958 in Fairfax. The couple had been married 52 years at Fodge's passing in 2010. Norma was a RN for 38 years, serving at hospitals in Fairfax, Hominy and Pawnee. In addition to her hospital duties, Norma served as the Ralston community nurse, helping many people in their time of need.
Her enjoyments included playing any type of game with her family, working crossword puzzles, reading, crafts, and fishing.
She is survived by her daughter Teresa Hopper, of Ralston; one sister, Donnis Morris and husband Gary, of Wichita, Kansas; one brother, Roy Grimm and wife Carole, of Ralston; other extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband "Fodge" Hopper; and one son, Travis Hopper.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at the Hunsaker-Wooten Funeral Home with Rev. George Weston presiding. Interment will follow in the Ralston Riverside Cemetery.
Casket bearers are Rick McGee, Daryl "Chip "Hopper, Brad Grimm, Justin Grimm, Branden Whannel and Alan Dooley.
