Mary Margaret Woosypiti, resident of Fairfax, passed away Thursday, November 17, 2011 at the Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa. She was 35 years of age.

Mary was born April 10, 1976 in Claremore, Oklahoma. She was a member of the first Osage Nation Head Start at Pawhuska in 1979. She attended Tulsa East Central High School and graduated from Pawhuska High School in 1994 where she was active in many activities. She also attended the University of Oklahoma. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Pawhuska. She had been employed as Store Manager of the ALCO store in Pawhuska. She was a private duty care nurse for her Great Uncle John Tallchief. Marys family was of utmost importance to her she also loved of all kinds of music and all kind of electronics.

Survivors include her mother, Lorena Woosypiti six children, Haley Woosypiti, Dylan Caywood, Andrew Caywood, Hannah Caywood, Lauren Woosypiti and Ethan Woosypiti one brother, Timothy Woosypiti and his daughters, Amber and Whitney, maternal Aunt Valerie Morris, Great Uncles George Tallchief and John Tallchief, numerous other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Wilford Woosypiti and Beatrice Boren great grandparents, Eaves and Rose Tallchief and John and Mae Woosypiti Uncle John Boren Aunts Jewell Marshall and Linda Tabbytosavit.

A rosary service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday, November 21, 2011 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fairfax. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2011 also at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Fairfax with Father Bruce Brosnahan officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the HunsakerWooten Funeral Home in Fairfax.

Mary put up a very brave fight with her Bipolar disorder. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bipolar Support Alliance, in care of the HunsakerWooten Funeral Home, 201 North 4th, Fairfax, Oklahoma 74736.
