Mark McWilliams of Fairfax passed away Tuesday March 22, 2016 at his home. He was 30 years of age. Mark was born on November 25, 1985 in Clovis, New Mexico to Rodger E. and Betty L. Mayo McWilliams.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday in the First Christian Church of Fairfax with Pastors George Weston and Brian Doyle officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairfax Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hunsaker Wooten Funeral Home of Fairfax.
Mark came with his family from New Mexico and grew up in Blackwell and Fairfax and at the time of his passing he had been working at the Dollar General as the Night Supervisor the last 2 years. Mark was a strong fighter and he beat leukemia five years ago and he made a positive impact on everyone he met. Mark enjoyed being around family and friends and playing video games and he will be greatly missed by so many friends that the family really appreciated.
Survivors include: Grandmothers; Welna Mayo of Fairfax, OK and Johnnie McWilliams of Blackwell, OK; Parents; Betty McWilliams of Fairfax, OK and Rodger McWilliams of Nardin, OK ; step parents: Marcus Garcia of Fairfax, OK and Carrie Helzer of Nardin, OK; 1 brother: Chris McWilliams and wife Della of Fairfax, OK; 2 sisters; Amanda Rains and husband Joe of Stillwater, OK and Nikki McWilliams of Nardin, OK; 3 nephews; Devon and Preston McWilliams and Malechi Rains; 1 Niece; Alyssa McWilliams and numerous Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his 2 grandfathers; Roscoe Mayo and Gene McWilliams, 2 uncles and 2 aunts.
