Lee Shea

Ft. Morgan, Colorado

Lee Harold Shea, Sr. son of Anthony and Beula Mae (Smith) Shea was born January 1, 1934 in Ralston, Oklahoma. As a young man, he was a farmer. He then worked for Diamond Shamrock at an Oil and Gas Refinery in Dumas, Texas. He retired and moved back to Fairfax in 1996, where he had a lawn mowing business. He was Mayor of Fairfax for a time. Lee was a hard-working, trustworthy, honest man.

He moved to Colorado to be near his daughter in 2010 following an illness.

He is survived by two daughters, Judy Shay and her husband Edward Shay of Amarillo, Texas; Tommie Segelke and her husband Dean Segelke of Ft. Morgan, Colo.; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and brother, Robert Shea of Ringwood, Okla. He is also survived by his companion, Lahoma Koch of Fairfax, Okla. and his special friends, Ty Koch and Ron Hopper, also of Fairfax. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He passed from this life on September 20, 2018 in Ft. Morgan, Colo. Funeral Services will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, September 29 in the Hunsaker-Wooten Funeral Chapel with Pastor Dennis Wildman, presiding. Burial will follow at the Fairfax City Cemetery under the care of Hunsaker-Wooten.
