Kriston Kennedy, 45, of rural Ralston, Oklahoma "Shifted Gears" Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at his home.

He was born to Ronda (Mello) Champlin on March 6, 1972. On December 3, 1976 Joe Kennedy SR married Ronda Champlin and on a later date Joe Kennedy SR adopted Kris. They lived in Orland, California until August 1983 when the family moved to Ralston.

Known by so many, by many different names, but affectionately known as "Kris" to friends and family. Growing up he attended Ralston Public Schools and was loved by many for his caring and so humorous personality. While attending school at Ralston, he met Kim Poe.

Kris and Kim married on August 10, 1990 to this union were born two children. Later on in life, Kris had two more children with Penny Dilbeck. Kris then settled down with spouse Robin Dilbeck and they made their home where Kris lived as a youngster west of Ralston.

He worked as a truck driver hauling road materials and throughout the years he farmed for little Floyd Kelley. Kris was a fireman for the Ralston VFD for 21 years. He loved old country music; going to his "honey hole"; getting out fished by his kids; and spending time with his grandkids whom meant the world to him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Richard Kennedy SR; his granddaughter, Kyleigh Davis and his beloved dog "Gabby".

Kris is survived by his spouse, Robin Dilbeck of the home; three daughters, Farrin and husband Thomas Looney of Ralston, Ashlee Kennedy of Tulsa and Kelsie Kennedy of Fairfax; son, Austin "Blake" Kennedy of Ponca. His mother, Ronda and husband Leon King of Checotah; sister, Michelle and husband Shawn Hamilton of Ponca; brother, Spin SR and wife Charla Kennedy of Ralston. Grandchildren: Skout "Slim" Looney, Jace "Pork Chop" Looney, Tinlee "Subway" Looney and Penny Lookout as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

There will be a visitation for family and friends at Hunsaker-Wooten Funeral Home, Fairfax, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, August 18; Saturday, August 19 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. with the family present to greet guests from 2 p.m. to 4p.m. and Sunday, August 20 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, August 21, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in Ralston with Dennis Wildman, presiding. Burial will follow at the Riverside Cemetery, south of Ralston under the direction of Hunsaker-Wooten Funeral Home of Fairfax, Oklahoma.

Casket bearers are Spin Kennedy SR, Spin Kennedy JR, Robbie Kennedy, Floyd Kelley, Larry Seeliger, Eric Burch, Travis Burch, and Russell Davis.

Honorary casket bearers are Blake Kennedy, Skout Looney, Jace Looney, Shawn Hamilton, Michael Dilbeck, Gilbert Kennedy, Thomas Looney, Brady Kelley and the late Jacob Looney.

Memorial contributions may be made in Kris's memory to Hunsaker-Wooten Funeral Home which will be used towards his funeral expenses at PO Box 237, Fairfax OK 74637-0237.
