Kevin Covill

Kevin Walter Covill, resident of Ponca City, passed from this earth on Saturday, June 27, 2009 at Deaconess Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was 42. Kevin was born on March 16, 1967 to Ronald and Wilma Covill in Ponca City, Oklahoma. Kevin graduated from Parkview School for the Blind in Muskogee, Oklahoma and also the Lions World Training School for the Blind in Little Rock, Arkansas. Kevin loved camping, fishing and landscaping. He was also a small engine mechanic. Kevin loved playing and working with his son, Ronnie James Covill. He had a love for animals and he taught his son how to care for them. Kevin always took the opportunity to help others and he never required anything in return. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him. He is survived by his mother, Wilma Reed, Father, Ronald Covill and step-mother, Winnie Covill all of Ponca City, Oklahoma; son, Ronnie James Covill of Ponca City, Oklahoma; sister, Flora Goad and husband, Scott, of Cushing, Oklahoma and son, Lee Drake of Ponca City, Oklahoma; brother, David Covill of Little Rock, Arkansas; three stepbrothers, Scott Johnston and wife, Brenda of Arkansas City, Kansas, Tim Johnston and wife, Shelby and son, Cody of Newkirk, Oklahoma, Dusty Johnston and wife, Nicole and their son, Mathew of Moore, Oklahoma; ex-wife, Denisa Watts and step-children, Tina, Bobbie and Justin; numerous other family and friends. A celebration of Kevins life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at the First Lutheran Church with Pastor Tom Ramsey officiating. Arrangements were made under the direction of Hunsaker-Wooten Funeral Home.
