Kennon A. Weaver
Kennon A. Weaver, age 73, passed on August 2, 2014 in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. He was born March 1st, 1941 in Fairfax, Oklahoma to Aron Weaver and Dollie Mae Goad Weaver. He was raised in the FairfaxRalston area on his parents farm. He attended school in Fairfax, where he met and married his high school sweetheart, Judy Kay Rice, on July 18, 1960. Two children completed their family one son, Tommy Joe and one daughter, Patricia Kay.
Kennon spent his early life working on his parents farm and in cotton fields. Later he started working in the oil fields. They moved from Fairfax to follow the oil boom living in Enid, Woodward, Hominy and finally settling in Wynona in 1983. He then spent several years as a cross country truck driver owneroperator. Wanting to stay closer to home, he went to work for J J Dozer as a dozerheavy equipment operator and foreman. He went on to work for Pawhuska Dozer as a dozerheavy equipment operator and foreman. He simultaneously ran the Weaver Ranch, where a sign reads, If we aint got it, were probably going to get it. On the ranch, he and his wife, Judy, raised goats, cows, chickens, horses, dogs and any other animal Judy thought they might need, sometimes against Kennons better judgment.
In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and visiting with everyone. He never met a stranger. At home, he enjoyed watching western movies, especially those starring John Wayne.
