Kenneth G. Dude Sharp, 71 of Chandler, passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at Fairfax Manor, Fairfax, Oklahoma.
Dude was born on November 21, 1941 in Booneville, Arkansas to Biven Earl and Danna Bobbitt Sharp. He and Jean Overlease were married on August 31, 1973 in Fairfax. He was a veteran of the United States Army. A truck driver since 1964, he retired in 2010. He lived in Chandler, Oklahoma for over 25 years, and was a member of the Full Gospel Assembly church in Fairfax. He enjoyed The History Channel, cowboy shows and was a big fan of John Wayne.
Dude was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Lula Florence Sharp and Wanda Moore three Brothers, V.B. Sharp, M.E. Sharp and Veston Sharp two grandchildren, Matthew Overlease and Alisha Brink.
He is survived by his wife, Jean his children and their spouses: Rocky and Leanna Overlease of Fairfax, Ricky Overlease of Oklahoma City, B.B. and Lori Crenshaw of Fairfax, Sheila and Jay Wilson of Wellston, Todd and Jessica Crenshaw of Bakersfield, California, Sheryl Miller of Norman, Oklahoma and Thomas and Tina Crenshaw of Cushing, Oklahoma two sisters, Lula Bonner of Fairfax and Linda Cliburn of Andalusia, Alabama brother, Jimmy and his wife, Cynthia Sharp, of Houston, Texas twenty grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 1, 2013 at the Full Gospel Assembly church with Pastor Lewis Bernard officiating. Casket bearers will be Dalton Crenshaw, Shane Sharp, Jay Wilson, Jimmy Judd, Todd Crenshaw and B.B. Crenshaw. Burial will follow in the Fairfax Cemetery, Fairfax, Oklahoma with Military Honors provided by F ort Sill Military Honor Detail.
