Juanita Mckinney

Juanita Gambler McKinney of Fairfax, Oklahoma passed from this earth on November 18, 2014 at the age of 88.

Juanita was born in Hanna, Oklahoma on June 7, 1926 to parents, Martin Gambler and Lillie Proctor Gambler. She was the firstborn of six children, and had three brothers and two sisters.
Juanita received her education at a Christian boarding school in Eufala, Oklahoma. She met and married Ted McKinney, Sr. in McAlister, Oklahoma. Ted was an M.P. at the P.O.W. camp in McAlister and Juanita was a waitress.

Ted and Juanita had three children, Wanda Jean of Fairfax, Ted Jr. and wife, Martha, of Centerville, Utah, and Richard Paul of Fairfax. Most of their later years were spent in Fairfax with Juanita working at Munsingwear in Hominy, Oklahoma.

Juanita was preceded in death by her parents her husband Ted both sisters, Geneva and Katie one brother, David one soninlaw, James Lytle and one grandson, Douglas Lytle. She is survived by her three children and her brothers, Richard and Wallace seven grandchildren 15 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 22, 2014 at HunsakerWooten Funeral Home Chapel in Fairfax, Oklahoma with interment following at Fairfax Cemetery with a short graveside service. Rev. Dennis Wildman will officiate. Casket bearers will be grandsons, Toby Best, Brian Lytle, Sean McKinney, Jamie Lytle, Jason Ware, and Chad McKinney. Honorary bearers will be Darrell Proctor, Richard Gambler and Wallace Gambler.

Memorial contributions may be made in Juanitas memory to Hospice of North Central Oklahoma, 1308 E. Bradley, Ponca City, OK 74601

Arrangements are under the direction of HunsakerWooten Funeral Home of Fairfax.
