Jozi Tall Chief, 51, of Fairfax, OK, departed this life on September 22, 2014 in Stillwater, OK. Jozi was born on September 4, 1963 in Fairfax, OK to Alex Joseph Tall Chief IV and Judith Ann Pritchard. She attended school in Pawhuska, OK and graduated in 1981 from Pawhuska High School. Jozi attended Cosmetology School in Ponca City, OK and worked as a stylist for many years out of her own home in Fairfax. Over the last several years, Jozi enjoyed her English Bulldogs who gave her as much joy and love as she gave them. Jozi will be remembered by her many friends and family members as someone who would pick you up whenever you were down and who encouraged all to be themselves and not change for anyone. She was a beloved source of strength and happiness to her family and all who were blessed with her friendship. Jozi is survived by her fianc, Phillip Bolton of Fairfax, OK, her father, Alex Joseph Tall Chief IV of Fairfax, OK, her mother, Judith Ann Pritchard of Pawhuska, OK, sisters Carmen Whitlatch and Laura Whitlatch of Pawhuska, nephew Michael Tall Chief of Pawhuska, nieces Brittany Tall Chief Copple, Julia Tall Chief, BreeAnne Moss, Kylie Frazee and Audrey Frazee, all of Pawhuska. Greatnephews Sean Copple, Wyatt Copple, Mitchell Copple, Maelen Tall Chief and Titan Miles, greatnieces, Jeralyn Miles and Mileigh Tall Chief. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Alex Joseph Tall Chief III, grandmother, Juanita Belle Roan Tall Chief, grandfather, Hugh Pritchard, grandmother, Carmen Jeanette Robinson Howell and her brother, John Anthony Tall Chief. Rosary Thursday September 25, 2014 at 7:00 pm at Wakon Iron Chapel in Pawhuska. Osage Indian services will be performed by John Williams, Jr. on Friday, September 26, 2014 at 8:00 a.m. at Wakon Iron Chapel followed by Funeral services at 10:00 a.m. performed by Father Chris Daigle from Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Interment Grayhorse Cemetery in Grayhorse, OK. Arrangements under the direction of HunsakerWooten Funeral Home, Fairfax, OK.
