Joan Bryan

Joan Bryan, resident of Burbank, passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at her home. She was 77. Joan was born the daughter of Bill Daley and Lucille Porter Daley on October 8, 1931 in Jackson, Tennessee. She married Hartzell Lane Bryan on May 31, 1980 in Cobb County Georgia. Joan worked in the restaurant industry, and was restaurant manager for 50 years. Joan had many enjoyments which included cooking, gardening and working with flowers. She especially liked tending to her tomato plants. Joan also liked NASCAR, but she mostly loved spending time with her family and visiting with the home health nurses. She is survived by her children, Patricia Ann Porter of Norfolk, Virginia, Geraldine Powell and husband, Ed of Hampton, Virginia, Mary Willard and husband, Larry of Burbank, Oklahoma, Linda Klein and her companion, John of Glouster, Virginia, Tania Manger and husband, Todd of Arcanum, Ohio and Frederick Yordy, Jr. and wife, Leslie of Ft. Worth, Texas; brother, Charles Marchbanks and wife, Antoinette of Palm Beach, Florida; brother in law, Wayman Bryan of Fairfax, Oklahoma; numerous grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hartzell in 1997; brothers, Tommy and James ; one sister; and one infant daughter, Christina. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 4, 2009 at Burbank Fellowship Hall with Terry Willard officiating.
