Jim Tiger

Jim Tiger was born on April 23, 1935 and left this life to be with the Lord on March 5, 2011 at 2:30 a.m. He was the son of Jefferson Tiger and Cora Wood Tiger.

Preceeding him in death were his parents, sisters Maxine Haflmoon, and Shirley Tiger.

Jim attended schools at Graham Elementary, Weleetka and Chilocco Indian School where he met the love of his live, Judy Graves. Jim and Judy were married in Tulsa, OK on July 20, 1956. Together they enjoyed a very blessed marriage of 54 years.
They are the parents of three children, Bruce Howard Tiger of Mannford, OK, Terry Tiger Evans her husband Chuck of Ralston, OK, and Paula Sue Martinez and her husband Rey of Fairfax, OK 8 grandchildren and 14 greatgrandchildren.

Jim was a good Christian man and he talked with his Lord in the woods. He was an excellent hunter and fisherman who provided well for his family. He enjoyed PBR Rodeo. Jim was a devoted grandfather who supported his grandchildren in all of their sporting events, rodeo, track and field, baseball, basketball, football, and wrestling. He often coached from the sidelines and was a good caring coach in sports and in life. Jim never met a stranger and was known as a man with a very giving heart who often gave a lot to a lot of people.

The body will lie in state at HunsakerWooten Funeral Home in Fairfax.

The funeral service will be at First Osage Baptist Church in Fairfax at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 with Pastor Lewis Bernard and Pastor George Weston officiating. Burial will follow in Fairfax Cemetery.
