Homer Lee Anson, longtime resident of the Ralston and Fairfax communities, passed Sunday, April 19, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. He was 79 years of age.
Homer was born August 7, 1935 in the Ralston Big Bend community, the son of Glen Homer Anson and Fern (Holt) Anson. He was a graduate of Fairfax High School. He was married to Marcia Henderson on May 11, 1956 in Fairfax. He had served his country in the Oklahoma National Guard. He had been employed with the Osage County.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Fairfax. His enjoyments included fishing, hunting, the outdoors and he loved football.
He is survived by his wife, Marcia, of the home; two daughters, Denise Anson and Glenna Rowe, both of Fairfax; one son, Michael Anson of Hominy; one brother, Travis Anson and wife Barbara of Ralston; 6 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; other extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one grandchild, Joseph L. Cox.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 23, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church in Fairfax. Interment will be in the Fairfax Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hunsaker-Wooten Funeral Home in Fairfax.
