Geneva Ione Heath, longtime resident of Fairfax, passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at the Fairfax Manor Nursing Home. She was 95 years of age.

Geneva was born February 5, 1917 in Bidding Springs, Oklahoma, the daughter of John Faulkner and Stella Woodward Faulkner. Geneva was a member of the Cherokee Indian Tribe and was a graduate of the Sequoyah Indian School in Tahlequah. She was married to Clair Heath on December 24, 1937 in Chandler, Oklahoma. Mrs. Heath served for many years as a cook for the Fairfax Public Schools and also had worked at the old Fairfax Nursing Home. She was a member of the Fairfax Full Gospel Assembly Church and her enjoyments were her church, her family and reading.

She is survived by her six children Paula Elliott and husband Lee, of Fairfax, Errol Heath and wife Leigh, of Pawhuska, Jeanith Goad and companion Mike, of Oologah, Oklahoma, twin sons, Doyle Heath and wife, Wanda, and Dennis Heath and companion Jill, all of Fairfax, and Johnna Kerr and husband Marty, of Winfield, Kansas 15 grandchildren 49 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents her husband, Clair, on April 27, 1987 four sisters, Viola Holloway, Izola Clark, Aileen Folk and Jeanith Johnson two grandchildren, Regina Heath and Doyle Wedd.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 16, 2012 at the Fairfax Full Gospel Assembly Church with Pastor Lewis Bernard presiding, assisted by Roy Edwards. Interment will follow in the Fairfax Cemetery under the direction of the HunsakerWooten Funeral Home.

Casket bearers will be grandsons, Garrett Gibson, Dennis Wedd, Jared Gibson, Heath Gibson, Tony Goad, Nick Goad, Errol Ray Heath and Roy Hopper. Honorary casket bearer will be Dr. James Graham.
