Gary N. Kuykendall

Gary N. Kuykendall, resident of Burbank, passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2011 in Tulsa. He was 72 years of age.

Gary was born July 19, 1939 in Blackwell, Oklahoma, the son of George Arlin Kuykendall and Lucie Iris Bridges Kuykendall. He received his early education in the Siloam Springs, Arkansas schools and was a 1957 graduate of Burbank High School. He then attended Northern Oklahoma College of Tonkawa. He was married to Charlene Roberts on February 4, 1962 in Shidler.

Gary was employed some 37 years as a heavy equipment operator for the Burbank Rock Quarry. He was a member of the Burbank First Baptist Church and the Firemans Association. His enjoyments were gardening, fishing, hunting, and spending time with family.

He is survived by his wife, Charlene, of the home three children, Suzy Klinger and husband, Gary of Ponca City, Jeri Ann Ratliff and husband, Bruce, of Ralston, and Alan Kuykendall and wife, Kathryn, of Kaw City 14 grandchildren one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Laura Leona McKinney.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, September 26, 2011 at the First Baptist Church of Burbank with former pastor, Chris Cooper, presiding. Interment will be in the Burbank Cemetery under the direction of the HunsakerWooten Funeral Home of Fairfax.
