Frankie and Jack June Gray were united in marriage on January 21st, 1946, in Coffeyville, KS. They owned and operated Gray’s Roller Rinks, a mobile skating rink, and founded Gray’s Dairy in 1948 southwest of Ralston. Together they farmed and milked cows for over 50 years averaging 250 head milked daily. Over the years, she was quite the entrepreneur dabbling in additional businesses such as the Fairfax Donut Shop, Fairfax Ceramic Shop and made wedding cakes. She enjoyed numerous crafts; oil painting, cross-stitching, gardening, and raising parakeets. She collected hand-crafted bells and cobalt blue curios.

One of our favorite memories of Grandma Frankie is she could never get your name correct on the first try, and it didn’t matter if you were in trouble or not. She would go down the list of kids and grandkid’s names before finally arriving to your name at the bottom of the list.

Frankie is survived by two sons, Ronnie Gray of Fairfax, OK and Bobby Gray of Ralston, OK. She has seven grandchildren; Misty Repp of Owasso, OK; Nikki Harrald of Copan, OK; Cindy McDonald of Glendale, AZ; Ron Allan Gray of Fairfax, OK; Cody Gray of Peyton, CO; Quentin Gray of Fairfax, OK and Shawn Kurtz of Broken Arrow, OK; 15 great-grandchildren and seven great, great-grandchildren. In addition, her long-time caretakers, Patty Thornbrue and Brenda Cason.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Ernest and Mabel Kunze; husband, Jack Gray; four children Judy Kurtz, Gary Gray, and twin daughters Carol and Linda Gray.
