Francis Murray

Francis Michael MIKE Murray, JR., 77, of Ralston, passed away at Fairfax Community Hospital Friday, August 30, 2013.

Mike was born in Hominy, OK on April 6, 1936 to Francis Michael and Mary Smith Murray.
Mike grew up in Osage County and after graduating Fairfax High School he attended Oklahoma AM College and enlisted in the US Army. After his father passed away in 1957, he managed their small family ranch. He also worked for the State Highway Dept. and Kewannee Oil. Deciding not to spend another winter in the oil patch, he, together with a partner, bought the Osage Lumber Company. In addition to the lumber business in Fairfax, it made a great location to pursue his interest in buying, selling and trading firearms. Having numerous hobbies, his lifelong interest was firearms.

In 1958, he married Judy Lou
Hood, and they had 2 wonderful children, Manon and Patrick. In 1967, he married Annabeth Jackson.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, brotherHarry and an infant sister.

Mike is survived by his wifeAnnabeth, 2 children Manon Tillman of Stillwater and Patrick Murray of Howe, TX. 4 Grandchildren Chanlie, Joseph, Amber and Taylor.

Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m., Sunday, September 1, 2013 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 2, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Bruce Brosnahan presiding. Burial will follow in the Fairfax Cemetery.
