Ethel Webb

Ethel Viris Webb, Fairfax resident, passed away on Friday, May 28, 2010 at the Fairfax Hospital. She was 94.
Ethel was born the daughter of Henry Edward Bertling and Lora Dean Beaty Bertling on February 7, 1916 in Anadarko, Oklahoma. She grew up in Oklahoma attending Greyhorse and Fairfax Schools. She moved to New Mexico and later returned to Oklahoma where she lived next to her sister. Ethel was a lifelong member of the Does Lodge. She loved cooking, working in the flower garden and sewing. Ethel loved animals and was a dog groomer for several years. She also took great joy in her tropical fish.
She is survived by her sister, Helen Faye Rhodes grandchild, Richard Eugene Steele and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Lora Bertling son, Richard Allen Steele and sisters, Clara Anderson, Juanita Duke and Edna Mock.
The graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at Fairfax Cemetery with The Rev. Doug Scott of First Christian Church of Shidler officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of HunsakerWooten Funeral Home
