Doshie Cleo Palmer, longtime resident, passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at the Fairfax Hospital. She was 96.
Mrs. Palmer was born March 6, 1914 at Marble City, Oklahoma, the daughter of Benjamin Franklin Robertson and Sarah Ann Hartin Robertson. She was married to Clark Lloyd Palmer on April 17, 1946 at Sedan, Kansas. Mrs. Palmer was a homemaker and had helped her husband throughout the years at the Clark Palmer Gas Station in Fairfax. She was a member of the First Osage Baptist Church of Fairfax. Her enjoyments included her grandchildren, the activities of the Fairfax Senior Citizens and her church work.
She is survived by her daughter, Ann Martin and husband, John Paul, of Fairfax her son, Clark Lloyd Palmer Jr. of Billings, Oklahoma three grandchildren, Paul Wade Martin and wife, Loree, Sylvia Ellis and Molly Buford and husband, J. Paul six great grandchildren, Josh, Rebecca, Ashley, Michelle, Connor and Emma. She was preceded in death by her parents her husband, Clark and four brothers, Alvin, Cenery, James and Anthony.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 30, 2010 at the First Osage Baptist Church of Fairfax with Rev. Gary Holt presiding assisted by Rev. Wayne Taylor. Interment will follow in the Fairfax Cemetery under the direction of the HunsakerWooten Funeral Home.
Casket bearers will be Tommy Smith, Clyde Moore, J. Paul Buford, Burley Hathcoat, Eddie Beartrack and Andy Graham.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Fairfax Senior Citizens Center, 600 West Taft, Fairfax, Oklahoma 74637.
