Carl W. Daley longtime Fairfax resident went home to be with the lord Thursday May 5, 2016 in Tulsa, OK surrounded by his family. He was born on February 10, 1950 in Wagner, OK to Carl R. and Jessie Pauline Payton Daley.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday May 9, 2016 in the First Osage Baptist Church with Pastor's Jay Clapp and George Weston officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairfax City Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hunsaker - Wooten Funeral Home of Fairfax.
Carl grew up in Wagoner, OK where he graduated from Wagoner High School in 1968. He started his career with General Telephone in 1969 in Broken Arrow, OK and transferred to Fairfax, OK in 1972. He met and married the love of his life Patricia Smith on June 7, 1974 in Fairfax and they made their home in Fairfax. After 44 years of service with Windstream he retired. Carl was a member of the First Osage Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge. He was a 32nd degree mason and a member of the Akdar Shrine's, He was also a past member of the Fairfax volunteer fire department and served on the Fairfax City council and coached little league baseball for many years. Carl was devoted to his family and enjoyed spending as much time as possible with them. He also enjoyed his friends, Golfing, Fishing and watching Wild life in Osage county.
Carl is survived by his wife: Patricia of the home; 2 sons: Carl W. Daley JR and his wife Jennifer of Tulsa, OK, Greg Daley and wife Cindy of Fairfax, OK; 1 Daughter; Melinda Williams and husband Bryan 1 sister: Barbara Montgomery and husband Steve of Atlanta, GA, 7 grandchildren: Brody Spencer, Carson Daley, Katch Daley, Addyson Daley, Kallan Daley, Kolynns Daley, Bethany and Mackenzie and several nieces and nephews.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother: Bob Daley.
