Bob Robertson

November 1, 1930 — May 31, 2020

Bobby "Moose" Robertson died peacefully on May 31, 2020 at the age of 89.  He was born November 1, 1930 to Charles and Gladys (Moore) Robertson in Lewis, Kansas.  Bob was the youngest of three sons, his birth followed his older brothers, Charles and Donald.

The family moved to Barnsdall when Bob was four years old and he continued living there through his high school years, graduating in 1948.  After High School, he served his country in the United State Marine Corps.

In 1951, he married Vada Rose Kinder, they lived in Pawhuska and he was employed by Phillips Petroleum in Bartlesville.  Bob was transferred to the Shidler field area for Phillips, then they moved to Webb City where they were blessed with three loving sons:  Scott Alan, Robert Edward, and Joe Lynn.

Bob enjoyed 34 years working with his buddies for Phillips in the area and retired in 1985.  From his teenage years to present he was known as “MOOSE” to everyone.  His love of the outdoors was evident all his life, especially with family and friends camping, fishing, hunting and many great fish fries that were always a special treat for all.

After the death of his first wife Vada Rose, in 2010, Bob and Annetta Labadie Holt were married in the Shidler Methodist Church in 2012.  The couple made their home in rural Osage County until the time of his death.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife and two brothers.

In addition to his wife Annetta, he is survived by his sons: Scott, Ed, and Joe; two grandchildren, Alex Duffy Robertson and Caitlin Robertson; sister-in-law Reba Robertson, many nieces, cousins, and friends.  Bob is also survived by Annetta’s children: Marsha Bland, Laban Miles, Jack Miles, and Melba Gould.

A time of visitation and viewing will begin at noon on Wednesday, June 3 and continue until 7 p.m.

Graveside Services will be held 2 pm, Thursday, June 4, 2020 at the Grandview Cemetery, Kaw City, Oklahoma under the care of Hunsaker Wooten Funeral Home in Fairfax, Okla.
