Billie Delores Stingley of Fairfax, age 86, passed from this life on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at the Fairfax Manor in Fairfax, Oklahoma.
She was born on December 31, 1930 to Kelly and Hattie (Goad) Gilbert in Pawnee, OK. Billie lived most of her life in the Osage County area. She was a member of the Osage Nation, Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Fairfax and worked as an LPN.
Billie was married to Bob Eugene Stingley on Dec. 23, 1953 in Fairfax. The couple had two children, Bobby and Billie Jo. They were engaged in farming and raising cattle on Bob's family farm in Osage County.
She enjoyed traveling, especially to Las Vegas and had made two trips to Australia with her husband. Garage sales were also a favorite of Billie's as was working in her yard.
Survivors include two brothers, Donnie and wife Darith Buckles of Forest City, MO, Mark and wife Frankie Goad of Fairfax; one grandson, Robert A. Stingley of Pawhuska; daughter-in-law, Rebecca Wamego of Pawhuska and several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one infant daughter, Billie Jo Stingley; and one son, Robert Elmo Stingley.
A Rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday evening, December 18 in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Fairfax. Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday also in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Chris Daigle, presiding. Burial will follow in Fairfax cemetery under the direction of the Hunsaker-Wooten Funeral Home of Fairfax.
