Bettie Smith

Bettie Jane Smith, resident of Ralston, passed Sunday, March 29, 2015 at the Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa. She was 79 years of age.

Bettie was born December 25, 1935 in Hillsboro, Illinois, the daughter of Victor Smith and Daisy Cole Smith. Her early schooling was in Illinois. She had married Stanley W. Smith on May 31, 2002 in Webb City. Mr. Smith passed on September 2nd of last year.

She was a member of the Webb City Church of God Church. Her enjoyments were gardening, yard work and her church and church family.

She is survived by two children, Katherine Wright and David Clark; one sister, Sarah Brookes; two grandchildren, Christina Katherine Urbanski and Richard Wright; four great grandchildren, Katie Wright, Taylor Viator, Dari West and Stephen Urbanski III; one great great grandchild, Bruce West; other extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents; parents; husband; one son, John Paul Schmitz; two sisters; and one brother, Victor Smith.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 2, 2015 at the Ralston Riverside Cemetery with Webb City Church of God Pastor, Matt Smith presiding. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hunsaker-Wooten Funeral Home in Fairfax.
