Anna Roberts

Anna Kathryn Roberts, current resident of Denver, Colorado and former resident of Harrah, Oklahoma and Fairfax, Oklahoma, passed Friday, January 28, 2011 at her mothers home in Harrah. She was 27 years of age.

Anna was born March 31, 1983 at Claremore, Oklahoma, the daughter of Richard Roberts and Loislin Heard Roberts Gibson. She attended the Park View elementary school in Muskogee, Harrah Jr. High and High School, graduating Harrah High School in the years 2000. She then attended the University of Central Oklahoma, Oklahoma City Community College and Oklahoma University. She also attended the University of Colorado at Boulder where she was on the Honors Program as a Student of International Womens Studies.

Anna was a member of the National Organization of Women and the National Federation for the Blind where she was a 2007 scholarship recipient. She had won Ms. Harrah talent in 199899. Her enjoyments included music, playing various instruments that included the guitar, banjo, violin, saxophone and harmonica. She also wrote poetry and enjoyed reading her poetry and singing the songs she wrote at the MicNight in Denver, Colorado. She also was an avid reader.

She is survived by her mother, Lois Gibson of Harrah her father, Richard Roberts of Tulsa her two brothers, Richard Roberts of Moore, Oklahoma and Mitchell Roberts of Harrah one stepbrother, Nick Gibson of Stillwater her maternal grandparents, JoeAnn Nowakowski and Frank Heard 14 cousins, Angela Roberts, John Jake, Terrance Roberts, Lucian Johnson, Cortney Keil, Christy Stiger, Misty Stiger, Chanlie Tillman, Jonathan Stiger, Joseph Tillman, Mallory Knight, Kathryn White, Simean White and Timothy Keil one nephew, Joseph Goode Roberts and one niece, Anna Grace Roberts cousins, Matthew Holmes, Rachel Holmes, Jacob Heard, James Cropp and Blake Heard.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, James and Anna Kathryn Roberts and paternal great grandparents, Hall and Maggie Goode.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, January 31, 2011 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fairfax with Father Bruce Brosnahan presiding. Burial will follow in the Grayhorse Cemetery near Fairfax. Arrangements are under the direction of the HunsakerWooten Funeral Home of Fairfax.

Casket bearers will be Landon Salyer, Jimmy Milligan, Jake Barnes, Robert Hicks, Brandon Shinn and Justin Booth.
