Alimeda Adams

Alimeda Melba McClure Adams passed away on August 7, 2017. She was 75. She was born on January 17, 1942 in Pawnee, Ok to Olce Frank McClure and Teresa Miller McClure. She joined the U.S. Army in 1961 as a nurse and served a 1 year term. She met the love of her life, Johnnie L. Adams in Arlington, Virginia and on March 11, 1967 they were married. She was a proud member of the Osage Nation and was very involved in tribal affairs including dancing and pow wows. She enjoyed nature and liked spending time at the lake and camping. She also enjoyed NASCAR racing very much. She was an animal loved and adored dogs.
Alimeda was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Frank Adams.
Survivors include her husband, Johnnie of the home, three sons, Johnnie Lee (Robin), III; Donald Ellis; Larry Keith Adams; five daughters Tina Marie (Chad) Douglass; Angel (Don) Levings; Dawn Marie (Tommy) Jenkins; Candi (Walter) Goodman; Johnnie (Ron) Grenier; 26 grandchildren and several great grandchildren as well and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be held for Alimeda at the Sacred Heart Catho0lic Church in Fairfax, OK on Thursday, August 10, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at the Fairfax Cemetery. The family would like to ask that you family and friends wear purple to the funeral service. Visitation will take place on Tuesday from noon to 8p.m. and on Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Hunsaker-Wooten Funeral Home in Fairfax. Family will be present to receive guests on Wednesday afternoon from 4 to 6p.m. A rosary service will be held at 7p.m. on Wednesday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church also.
Alimeda was a loving mother and a devoted wife. She was loved deeply and will be missed.
