Albert A. Ab Dilbeck, lifelong resident of the Ralston community, passed Thursday, September 26, 2013 at the Fairfax Nursing Home. He was 92 years of age.

Ab was born April 13, 1921 at Sitry, Oklahoma, the son of Leeman Dilbeck and Willy B. Moore Dilbeck. He attended the Grayhorse grade school. Ab proudly received his GED diploma from Woodland High School in 2001.

Ab entered military service on September 8, 1942 and served his country in the United States Armys 843rd Engineer Aviation Battalion. He was a part of service campaigns in Normandy, Rhineland, Northern France and Central Europe, receiving the EAME theatre ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, World War II Victory Ribbon and four Bronze Service Stars. He was honorably discharged from the Army on December 5, 1945.

He was married to Margie Lewis on August 2, 1947 at Barnsdall, Oklahoma. The couple had lived in Osage and Pawnee counties all their lives. Ab was a member of the Full Gospel Assembly Church in Fairfax. His enjoyments included coon and squirrel hunting and gathering with his friends at the Ralston Caf.

He is survived by his three children, Andy Dilbeck, Ronnie Dilbeck and wife Jessie and Crenna Yarber and husband Jess, all of Ralston daughterinlaw, Jama Dilbeck 11 grandchildren and numerous great and great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents his wife Margie one daughter, Rhonda Gayle brothers Amos, William, Hershell, Earnest, Eugene, Joe, and Leiland, and sister Francis.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, September 30, 2013 at the Ralston Riverside Cemetery with Rev. Lewis Bernard presiding. Arrangements are under the direction of the HunsakerWooten Funeral of Fairfax.

Casket bearers are Mike Dilbeck, Russell Dilbeck, Joe Dilbeck, Michael Dilbeck, Skylar Yarber and Wayne Dilbeck. Honorary casket bearers are Marvin Sparks and Gary Moon.
